As a family we moved into 1 Glebe Meadow in May 1983 when it was newly built. It turned out to be the very best move the family could have made with nearly 39 years of very happy times spent here.

Being a family of 5 the house offered excellent accommodation and was a real family home. As the three boys progressed through their teenage years , university, work and eventually leaving home when they got married the house has seen all stages of life along with grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Overton as a village offers everything you could want, which is very rare these days as many shops and pubs close within small communities; However in Overton is thriving. It has good shops and convenience stores and a number of pubs. The community offers locals many options from WI, to amateur dramatics, choral societies, a church choir and a recreation centre to name just a few. If you want to throw yourself into it the village and community has a great deal to offer.

Another lovely thing about 1 Glebe Meadow is how close it is to the village centre, a walk down bridge street, perhaps with a quick stop to watch the trout in the River Test and you are right in the centre of the village with all the amenities close by, but you are far enough away for peace and quiet if all you want to do is relax in the garden.

We do feel a little sad to be selling this fabulous house but know that to the right family it will offer a wonderful forever home in a fantastic village in the heart of the Hampshire countryside where a family can grow and thrive.
